Diane von Furstenberg has some honest words for Kanye West.
At this week’s WWD CEO Summit, the New York-based designer had this to say about West’s Yeezy Season 4 show at New York Fashion Week in September: “Things like the Kanye-ization [of fashion], it’s okay. It’s a moment. It’s a thing. He ended up falling on his face, so it’s fine.”
Von Furstenberg is likely referring to some of the Season 4 show’s blunders, including models who could barely walk in the shoes — with one falling to the ground — and others fainting in the heat as they waited for the show to start.
Von Furstenberg did, however, say that she admires his perspective.
“But the attitude of Kanye West — he’s cool, so there’s something there,” she said.
