Donatella Versace Previews Fall ’16 Shoes Before They Hit The Runway

As she prepares to show her fall ’16 collection on Friday in Milan, Donatella Versace wants her followers’ help on last minute decisions. Versace shared a photo of a pair of colorblock stretch fit booties.

“Here is a sneak peek of the shoes from my new show. Is the heel high enough?” Donatella captioned the photo. The show will live stream on Friday Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. CET (2 p.m. EST) on Versace.com.

Last fall, Versace showed pieces from its #Greek collection, including sandals and boots that featured metal platforms with Greek style motif cut-outs. Versace continued the platform trend for spring ’16 with ultra-high colorblock platform sandals with gold buckle detailing.

The booties for fall ’16 mimic a pump with a sock underneath. The photo was shared in black and white, so we can’t get an idea of what the color scheme might be for the collection.

Gigi Hadid walked in the Versace spring ’16 show and also appeared in the most recent ad campaign. Donatella Versace is new to social media. The designer joined just last December, and her first post was a shot of her and Hadid at the spring ’16 campaign shoot. It looks like she’s gotten the hang of things pretty quickly, already engaging with her followers even in the crazy days leading up to her show.
