Sandra Choi, Creative Director at Jimmy Choo, has a hit on her hands. When asked about the best shoe she has ever designed, Choi named the Anouk pump as the winner.
“My best design has to be the Anouk and the family that evolved around her. Anouk is the quintessential stiletto heel. The design has architectural precision to ensure the shoe not only flatters the foot, but also functions. It’s a timeless design that strikes the perfect balance of feminine strength and sensuality,” said Choi.
“The name was inspired by 1960s French actress Anouk Aimée. It is a style that has been embraced by so many [celebrities]. I love to see the way people style it, on the red carpet or to dress up jeans — its versatility is infinite,” she added. “It was love at first sight for me, but like a fine wine, it gets better and better over time.”
