Fenty fashion lovers might be subject to sticker shock with the latest release from Rihanna‘s Puma collection. After several sneaker releases under $150, the new shoes come with a surprising price tag.
The over-the-knee boots are on preorder at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus for $750 and on the DTLR calendar with a price tag of $980. The booties are going for a whopping $600. Sneaker boots are listed on Puma.com start at $325.
DTLR’s release calendar says the Fenty boots land Oct. 15, with the booties debuting Sept. 29.

It’s just one indication that Puma is eyeing major market potential with Rihanna’s Fenty line. Puma’s secured mass-market appeal with the Faux Fur Slides (which consistently sold out online) retailing for $80 and Fenty Puma Creepers going for $140.

But the partnership with iconic luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman and Rihanna’s confirmation she’s taking the Fenty collection on the road to high-profile Paris Fashion Week are just two examples that the singer and her partner are eyeing the luxury shopper on a luxury stage. It also doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that Rihanna’s eyeing a higher-end shopper as she cut her teeth on a buzzy collaboration with Manolo Blahnik earlier this year.
We’re sure that Rihanna and Puma fans will be springing for the collection, but those $200 Yeezys from Adidas are looking pretty nice right now, aren’t they?
