TEAM WORK: Robert Clergerie has found a new creative partner in Sonia Rykiel: A no-brainer, as both labels are owned by First Heritage Brands, the holding company that also comprises Belgian leather goods maker Delvaux and is helmed by fashion veteran Jean-Marc Loubier.
Sonia Rykiel’s artistic director Julie de Libran has designed a capsule of three shoe styles in collaboration with the historic French footwear label. They are based on Clergerie’s signature Dylan platform sandals, which the designer upped with colorful crystals, sequins as well as Rykiel’s trademark stripes.
Retailing between 470 euros, or $522 at current exchange, and 530 euros, or $588, the models are part of Sonia Rykiel’s pre-fall collection are slated to hit both brands’ stores in June.
