The mood: 1920’s cabaret headliner.
The shoes: Footwear descended down a blackberry moiré and mirrored staircase installation cloaked in a giant chandelier. With a distinctly evening glamour and grandeur, designer Angelo Ruggeri said he was inspired by “flappers and performers of the Art Deco era.”
Draped velvet sandals and thigh high boots, some trimmed in fur, certainly had flair, while a series of glittering two-tone green platforms and tri-strap Mary Janes put on the glitz.
The verdict: “I wanted each shoe to deliver a clear and distinct message,” he said of heels that seamlessly melded to shimmering uppers without breaking character one bit. Bravo.
