Stella McCartney celebrated the launch news of her men’s collection last week, and now we have a closer look at the shoes. The designer will make her first foray into the men’s scene with the launch of ready-to-wear and shoes in mid-December (items are available for pre-order on the brand’s e-commerce website now).
“The starting point is the man that inspires the Stella woman. He has been standing alongside her all along, and now is the time he has his moment,” McCartney told Footwear News.
The offering includes a strong line of sneakers — either color-blocked or finished with embroidered ribbon — as well as lug sole laceups and slide sandals. The best part? They’re all made, or lined with, her signature eco alter nappa leathers.
Meanwhile, the ready-to-wear channels 1960s and 1970s influences. Pieces include cotton shirts embroidered with hummingbirds, fringed knitwear and lightweight suits in khaki or sky blue.

“I want him to feel as at home with Stella as our woman does, with an effortless approach to fashion,” McCartney said. “To express himself as himself and not try to be anyone else.”
