Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Tod’s is offering up a luxurious take on its classic Gommino driving shoes. The Double T Gommino shoes, available for women this month, are recreated in red suede and red python.
The shoes feature Tod’s new Double T stainless steel detail, which also fastens onto the spring 2016 Double T shoulder bag in red suede. There’s also a detachable strap with metal and rhinestone detailing—certainly a departure from the brand’s most classic offerings.
The suede pair retails for $595 and the python pair for $1,095 at Tod’s boutiques. The brand has also created keychains that are much less of a splurge.
The Double T shoes first made their debut on the brand’s spring 2016 runway in Milan. Creative Director Alessandra Facchinetti gave the Italian brand’s hallmark mocs an update with silver studs and patchwork leather, in addition to the buckle.
