Watch Pharrell Williams Strut His Stuff on the Chanel Runway

Pharrell Williams made a guest appearance at Chanel’s Métiers d’Art fashion show in Paris on Tuesday. Taking his place among the more traditional runway lineup — notably Cara Delevingne, Lily-Rose Depp, Lottie Moss, Georgia May Jagger and Mariacarla Boscono — the musician looked totally at home.

And he certainly gave Karl Lagerfeld’s regular token males—  Baptiste and Brad Kroenig —  a decent run for their money. Williams donned one of the house’s signature tweed jackets with metallic thread, accessorizing with a rope of pearls around his neck and a pair of silver gauntlets carried just so in his right hand. He wore white Cuban style boots to match the white-heeled brogues worn by his female counterparts.

Judging from his Instagram feed, Pharrell had one whale of a time as well. He posted a shot of himself fooling around backstage with Cara Delevingne (or “Iguana Delevingne,” as he captioned her) and also a short clip of his appearance on the runway itself (the show was staged in Paris’s Ritz hotel in the city’s Place Vendôme). The latter has already got itself 718,000 views and counting.

The idea behind Pharrell’s appearance no doubt came about earlier this year. He visited Chanel’s Métiers d’Art ateliers in May to see the skills of Lagerfeld’s renowned petites mains at close quarters including Lesage embroidery and flower making by Lemarié. Check out what happened here.
