Whereas lesser models might have to slum it in first class, Victoria’s Secret chartered a plane to fly its Angels from New York to Paris, the 2016 venue for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. The women packed up their wings and took flight in their very own private jet. It has just landed at the city’s nearby Roissy airport, but what did the VS Angels get up to onboard? All is revealed via their Instagram posts.

There were hijinks galore as they posed on the tarmac before boarding the jet. Joan Smalls even pushed fellow Angels Lily Donaldson, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner along on a luggage trolley. Security turned a blind eye. Well, this isn’t an everyday occurrence, after all.

Surprisingly, Josephine Skriver and Adriana Lima don’t seem to have so much luggage themselves though we suspect the wings are in the hold. “TO Paris with @josephineskriver @adrianalima” posted Victoria’s Secret on its official Instagram. The label added that the girls were in a Paris state of mind, substituting the word “Paris” for an emoji of the French flag.

Victoria’s Secret also posted this picture with the caption: “Precious cargo @joansmalls, @lilydonaldson, @bellahadid @kendalljenner en route to Paris for the #VSFashionShow. See them on the runway Dec. 5 on @cbstv.” The show takes place at Paris’ Grand Palais Nov. 30 and will be televised on Dec. 5.
“Buddy system,” posted Bella Hadid along with some suitably pink emojis.
Hadid followed this up with “We’re ready!!!! Let’s gooo beautiful ladies!!!!! @victoriassecret #VSFS2016 Coming for you Paris!!!” All her fellow Angels posed waving French flags and carrying Eiffel Towers on sticks cunningly crafted to resemble an “A” for “Angel.” Who came up with that genius device? For the record, everyone was wearing regulation pink Victoria’s Secret cropped T-shirts teamed with the de rigueur model uniform of blue skinny jeans, high-heeled black boots and cropped fur chubbies.
Even the plane ticket was a special event. As Cindy Bruna proved with this post on her Instagram feed.
The pilot didn’t seem to mind Alessandra Ambrosio popping into the cockpit for an impromptu photo shoot. “Taking off…” she posted, “next stop Paris #vsfsparis16.”
As the Angels settled in, excitement ruled with Taylor Hill posting “PEACE OUT AMERICA WERE GOING TO PARIS!!!!!!!! @jeromeduran @romeestrijd #vsfashionshow #VSFS2016.” The two were pictured making peace signs.
Martha Hunt posted a shot of herself and Lily Aldridge enjoying a glass of in-flight fizz; no doubt an anomaly in that pre Victoria’s Secret show fitness regime.
It appears that airline booty was bountiful, too, with welcome packs including rugs, eye masks and pink Polaroid cameras. There was even an inflight beauty station manned by makeup artist Colleen Creighton and offering essential touch-ups to keep skin in tip-top condition.
But as every model knows, sleep is equally as important as makeup. “Bon nui” posted Adriana Lima.
