Paris Fashion Week Street Style: It’s All in the Details

It’s easy for visitors in Paris to get lost looking up. But during Paris Fashion Week, it pays to look down. Stylish fashion show attendees were pounding the pavement in shoes that were almost as spectacular as the city itself.

Between shows, our photographer captured styles that were wacky and wonderful, and heavy on the embellishments and special details. One standout was a pair of sculptural sandals by Acne Studios, with an “A” and an “S” on each heel, secured around the ankle with rope. There were also Dior lace-up boots with gold ribbed heels, Fendi’s knitted boots with a curved, striped heel and Anna Barroso chain-embellished sandals.

As with the fashion weeks in New York, London and Milan, Gucci remains a choice brand of street stylers.

Florals and jewels continue to be a favorite this season. In addition to those floral Gucci kicks, we also spotted Alberta Ferretti’s floral slides, Alexander McQueen bejeweled ankle-strap heels and Ted Baker floral pumps.
