James Corden Spoofs Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ Music Video Starring Teyana Taylor

James Corden isn’t impressed with Teyana Taylor’s workout routine.

The TV host spoofed Kanye West’s new “Fade” music video, which features the singer-actress, by editing himself into the background for a segment that aired Monday on “The Late Late Show.”

“Do you mind? It’s a public gym,” Corden said, delivering the deadpan comment while the entertainer performs steamy dance moves throughout the facility. Pointing to a “No sheep in gym” sign, he chides Taylor when, curiously, she breaks a sweat alongside her fiance, Adidas-sponsored Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert, while surrounded by sheep.

West’s sultry clip debuted Sunday during the MTV Video Music Awards — igniting a torrent of comment on social media — and reviving his protégé Taylor’s career in the process. The track is the third single off his “The Life of Pablo” album.

In 2012, Taylor signed to West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label, and one year later, the sneakerhead collaborated with Adidas on its Unite All Originals global campaign.

“I always want to work with people that I can grow with,” Taylor said of the brand during an interview with Footwear News. “It’s good to have partnerships like this, where they give me the creative control that I want.”

Shumpert, known for wearing eccentric footwear, teamed with sneaker designer JBF Customs last year for a one-of-a-kind shoe. The sneaker utilizes the Adidas Real Deal outsole and features red leather, suede, snakeskin cutouts and Shumpert’s post-90 logo.
