Kanye West at First Concert Following Robbery of Kim Kardashian West: ‘Tonight Is a Victory’

Kanye West is back on his Saint Pablo Tour following a scary incident in which his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room last week.

West resumed his tour in Chicago, with back-to-back shows on Friday and Saturday. During his Saturday show, West said, “Chi Town, I’m back in town,” according to E! News.

“I can safely say that tonight is a victory,” he continued. “If your dreams keep you up a night and your ideas keep you up at night, then your vision will come alive,” he later told the crowd.

Kardashian West was in Paris for fashion week when a group of masked robbers entered her room and reportedly took more than $10 million worth in jewelry. Kanye West was not with her at the time. Following the incident, Kardashian West returned to the U.S., where she first reunited with West in Chicago.

There were reports last week that the Kardashian family planned to fire bodyguard Pascal Duvier, who had been out in Paris keeping watch over Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner at the time of the robbery. But E! is also reporting that Duvier was in the audience at West’s concert on Saturday.
