Katy Perry got big headlines for her performance at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night. The singer seemed pretty excited to be at the DNC and shared an Instagram shot of the event wearing one of summer’s hottest shoe trends: Adidas pool slides.
The famous rubber slides are now a chic statement ready to go from day to night and are a major summer must-have. (And for fall, matching socks are a must.)
Onstage, Perry performed a medley of songs, including her new single, “Rise,” and her hit “Roar.” She opted for a pair of shimmering silver sandals by Jimmy Choo and a Michael Kors gown.
Perry’s Instagram post was one of our favorites of the week, along with a few other standouts from the stars. Reese Witherspoon gave a shoutout to the Lucchese boot collaboration with Kacey Musgraves, and Jennifer Lopez showed off her birthday shoes by Brian Atwood.
