Kristen Stewart knows how to kick things off at Cannes Film Festival — namely, shoes.
The “Café Society” actress tossed off her Christian Louboutin pumps at the launch of the 69th annual competition on Monday. The festival runs through May 22 in Cannes, France.
Posing for photos alongside her co-star Blake Lively and director Woody Allen, Stewart cut a chic figure in a white crop top, pencil skirt and Louboutin spike heels.
But soon, her footwear became her hand-held accessory as she made her way barefoot through a lawn during the photo call.
It’s a matter of history repeating for the “Twilight” star, who has abandoned her heels at high-profile events before.

In August, Stewart slipped off her Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps to go on a barefoot strut down the red carpet at the “American Ultra” premiere.
One month later, she was photographed barefoot with her Louboutins under her chair while attending a screening at the Venice Film Festival.
