Taraji P. Henson is living proof that you really can have it all.
“I have thigh-high boots, boots with fringes, shoes with bells, shoes with whistles, I have shoes that make noise, I have shoes that light up, I have shoes that glow in the dark — what else do you need? I love shoes!” she told Footwear News of her shoe collection on Wednesday at the Women In Film, Los Angeles Crystal + Lucy Awards at The Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The ceremony, presented by Max Mara and BMW, celebrated women who have made outstanding contributions in entertainment.
The “Empire” star sizzled in a Marc Jacobs dress and a pair of black Jimmy Choo pumps, but she swapped them out for flats when she took to the stage to receive the Lucy Award for Excellence in Television.
“Yah, I took off my heels a long time ago,” she confessed in front of the crowd. “Comfort first.”

The Oscar-nominated actress will let her unhinged personality shine in a forthcoming memoir, “Around the Way Girl,” due Oct. 11.
Actress Natalie Dormer was presented with the Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award by the brand’s owner and ambassador Nicola Maramotti.
Presenters included Cate Blanchett, Claire Danes and Kate Beckinsale.
The star-studded affair attracted actresses Rosanna Arquette, Paris Barclay, Lake Bell, Maria Bello, Gabrielle Carteris, Blythe Danner, Frances Fisher, Greer Grammer and Breeda Wool.
Speaking to FN, Wool shared that she picked out an apt name for her blush Melissa booties. “I call them my skin boots,” she said. “They’re the exact same color of my skin. All of a sudden I just have hooves.”
