Graphic Designer Creates Shoe Styles Inspired By 2016’s Top Albums

With consortiums such as Kanye West‘s ongoing Yeezy collections, Pharrell Williams‘ partnership with Adidas Originals and Kendrick Lamar‘s Reebok capsules regularly making headlines, one could make the argument that music-inspired sneaker collaborations are moving the needle more than sports and athletic-based footwear these days.

Taking the footwear industry’s recent obsession with musicians one step further, graphic designer Patso Dimitrov has imagined what it would look like if some of 2016’s greatest albums had their own collaborations on the year’s most coveted sneakers.

Included in this group are Dimitrov’s take on fictional collaborations like Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” and the Nike Air Presto, Frank Ocean’s “Blond” and the Adidas NMD, David Bowie‘s “Blackstar” and the Nike Air Max 1 Royal, Kendrick Lamar’s “Untitled Unmastered” and the Puma Blaze of Glory, and Chance the Rapper’s “Coloring Book” and the Air Jordan 1 Low “Swooshless.”
