Sept. 17 is going to be a big day for Adidas Originals.
On Monday, the brand announced that the next iteration of the NMD — the NMD XR1 — will be released on Sept. 17. The first colorway is an almost all-black version, with a micro-ribbed knit upper and black accents. The shoes will feature a black Boost midsole and black EVA inserts, nearly identical to those on the NMD_R1.

Adidas will also drop new colorways of the NMD_R1: Solar Red and Triple Black. Both feature colored Boost midsoles, which the brand recently introduced. The tonal red and black kicks have a stretch-mesh construction, welded three stripes and micro-rib knit.
