Adidas Originals promised on Twitter last month that July would bring great sneaker releases.
The brand is keeping its word and is dropping two NMD silhouettes today: the NMD_R1 and the City Sock. The NMD_R1 is being offered in the “OG” colorway — a nod to the originals NMD black sneaker with blue and red accents that made its debut in December. This time the upper is done in white instead of black.
For this release, the NMD City Sock is done in all-black with a white boost sole and blue accents. This duo of styles already dropped around the rest of the world in the spring, as fans in the U.S. patiently waited for their turn.

Last week, Adidas Originals released three NMD sneakers as part of its Blackout/Whiteout pack, which was a nod to the brand’s global notoriety. Two NMD_R1 sneakers featured an all-over print with the phrase “The Three Stripes” translated into different languages, while the City Sock was done in a tonal gray colorway.
Adidas hasn’t shared what time the shoes will drop, only sharing a link to the NMD landing page on its site and saying that the shoes will be available sometime this morning. It has also responded to some Twitter users saying that select retailers will carry the sneakers.
