Adidas is looking ahead to the second Grand Slam tennis tournament of 2016: the French Open.
The athletic brand has collaborated with celebrated French textile house Prelle on two iterations of its classic Stan Smith silhouette. The upper is done in a printed cotton-silk fabric in a blue and green colorway and a red and blue colorway.
Roland Garros, built in 1928 in Paris, hosts the French Open every year and is known for its red clay courts. This year’s tournament begins on May 16 and runs through June 5.
Last year’s men’s winner was Stan Wawrinka, who defeated world No. 1 Novak Djokovic. The women’s champion was Serena Williams, who beat Lucie Safarova.
