Adidas & Stella McCartney Extend Partnership Through 2020

Stella McCartney is having one stellar week. On Tuesday night, she held a star-studded bash in Los Angeles to celebrate her pre-fall 2016 collection with Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Johnny Depp and many more.

In 2015, the designer celebrated her 10th year collaborating with Adidas, and on Wednesday, the two announced that they are extending their partnership through 2020.

The Adidas by Stella McCartney line includes sports-performance apparel, footwear and accessories designed by McCartney. McCartney launched her own brand in 2001.

Last year, McCartney and Adidas launched the Adidas StellaSport line, geared to a younger audience and featuring bright colors and bold prints. Adidas also announced that McCartney will once again be designing the Team Great Britain kit for the Rio 2016 Olympics, as she did for the London Olympics in 2012.

“I am incredibly proud to have designed the Adidas by Stella McCartney range for 10 years, and I am thrilled about what the future holds,” McCartney said in a statement. “This collection is for women who take both their sport and style seriously. It is about making a statement when you exercise and pushing yourself to perform at your best, every time.”

The Adidas by Stella McCartney line is available in 70 countries. The first standalone Adidas by Stella McCartney store opened on Miami’s Lincoln Road in 2014.

Brian Grevy, GM of training at Adidas, said, “In extending the partnership, we continue to empower the female athlete in her quest for technically advanced sports products without compromising on style.”
