Adidas Evokes the Spirit of Halloween for Its Unearthed Pack Football Cleats

Adidas is continuing its stylish performance-cleat push — dubbed “Cleathead Culture” by the brand — with another game-ready release. But unlike the last drop for the baseball diamond, its next cleat is built for the gridiron.

The brand on Sept. 22 unveiled the Unearthed Pack, which features a pair of Adidas’ styles ready to go from one end zone to the other: the 2017 Freak x Kevlar and the 2017 Adizero 5-Star 6.0 x Kevlar. Both styles will arrive via adidas.com on Oct. 10.

The Unearthed Pack, according to the brand, was built for the most intimidating players on the field, made for those who want to be feared by their opponents. To execute the concept, Adidas employed elements reminiscent of Halloween, with a skeleton acting as the line’s main idea. The line features a 3-D graphic that appears like bones of a foot, and resembles what football players would see if looking at the cleat’s upper onto the bones of a foot. It also features glow-in-the-dark materials to show off the bones and structure of the foot.

The 2017 Freak x Kevlar is Adidas’ lightweight and strong football cleat, and it is made with the brand’s Sprintskin upper for both durability and flexibility. The Sprintskin, according to the brand, provides mid-cut support with a low-cut feel. It also boasts a 5-Star Frame and a plate reinforced with Kevlar.
