Is a $400 Premium Air Jordan 11 Retro in the Works?

On Sept. 16, Jordan Brand released its latest $400 luxury sneaker in the form of the Air Jordan 4 Premium “Obsidian,” and rumors point to an upcoming Air Jordan 4 Premium “Wheat” inspired by Timberland’s classic 6-inch work boot. While we await more details on the latter pair, yet another premium Air Jordan has surfaced on social media, and this time around, it’s the Air Jordan 11 that will be receiving a high-end makeover.

With this Air Jordan 11 Premium, the model loses its traditional patent leather overlays in favor of what appears to be a full suede construction on the upper. At the heel, the Jumpman logo is embossed instead of being embroidered, and there’s also a crest with the letters “R.S.” Meanwhile, some rumors point to this pair incorporating wool in its construction.

Widely considered to be one of the greatest Jordan sneakers of all time, the Air Jordan 11 was worn by Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls’ unstoppable 1995-96 season, which saw the team finish with a regular season record of 72-10 and subsequently inspiring its own colorway.
