Air Jordan Retro 2 Low ‘Bred’ Drops Saturday

To the delight of sneakerheads everywhere, new iterations of the iconic Air Jordan 2 silhouette have been hitting stores lately. Fans of the shoe and legendary baller Michael Jordan will have another colorway of the shoe to choose from this weekend, this time in a low-cut version.

The Air Jordan Retro 2 Low “Bred” — also known as “Chicago Legacy” — arrives Saturday and will retail for $160. The shoe will be available via SNKRS.

Like the original shoe, the retro features the original Air Jordan wings branding on the tongue, Nike Air branding on the insoles, and Nike branding on the bottom of the shoe. The “Bred” iteration — inspired by Jordan’s time leading the Chicago Bulls to six NBA championships — features a white, black and varsity red color palette. The shoe’s upper is dominated by white, but features red accents on the heel counter and along the midfoot stitching, and black on the collar. It is completed with a black midsole and a white and red outsole.

Originally designed by Bruce Kilgore, the shoe was part of Nike’s first retro run in 1994, coming in both high and low cuts, according to the brand.

Other recent Air Jordan 2 versions include the January release of the Air Jordan 2 Retro Just Don (a collaboration with designer Don “Don C” Crawley) and the March release of the Air Jordan 2 Retro “Wing It.”
