Why 2017 Will Be a Huge Year for Air Jordans

2017 is shaping up to be one of the strongest years for Air Jordans in recent memory.

With a few pairs already rumored to drop such as the “Royalty” Air Jordan 4, next year’s potential lineup continues to grow with the return of many sought-after retros, the debut of new colorways and more.

In a YouTube clip from renowned sneaker vlogger PinoE — with information provided by noteworthy musician and sneakerhead DJ Folk — a number of Air Jordan releases have been confirmed for 2017. The most notable pair in this group include a retro release of the Air Jordan 1 “Royal,” complete with the original Nike Air branding.

In addition to this long-anticipated retro, the vlogger did confirm several other releases for 2017 such as the Air Jordan 5 “Red Suede,” the Air Jordan 5 “Blue Suede,” the Air Jordan 5 “White/Cement,” the Air Jordan 5 “Olive Remix,” the Air Jordan 8 “Black/Cement,” the Air Jordan 8 “Gray Suede,” the Air Jordan 11 Low I.E. “White/Red,” the Air Jordan 13 “Bred,” and the Air Jordan 13 “History of Flight” aka “White/Red.”

Athough these shoes are listed as the 2017 Jordan releases in the clip, Nike has not announced exact launch dates and plans could change as we head into the new year.
