Jordan Brand Just Unveiled the Next Air Jordan XXXI Release

Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook won’t sport the Air Jordan XXXI on the hardwood until Oct. 3, when he and his team take on Real Madrid during preseason action. But Jordan Brand is making sure you have plenty of colorways to rock before any NBA action begins.

The next colorway of the latest signature shoe for NBA icon Michael Jordan is the “Fine Print” iteration, which arrives in stores and via SNKRS on Sept. 17. The shoe will retail for $185. The shoe will also be available in grade school sizing via nike.com for $160.

“Fine Print” uses a simple black and white colorway, executed with a white-to-black gradient on its upper. Both the Swoosh and Jumpman branding on the upper are white, but the Jumpman branding on the tongue is stamped in black on an all-black label. The shoe is completed with a white midsole and an icy translucent outsole.

The defining element of the shoe appears on the inside of the tongue, a date that reads “10.18.84” — the day the NBA stated Jordan committed a uniform policy violation wearing the shoes now referred to as the “Banned” Air Jordan 1. Another standout element of the shoe is Jordan’s signature on the sole — something that wasn’t present on the recently released “Banned” Air Jordan XXXI.
