Michigan Basketball Will Be Wearing These Air Jordan XXXIs This Season

Nike announced in July 2015 that it had partnered with the University of Michigan sports programs, and Jordan Brand would outfit its football and basketball teams. Today, the school unveiled via social media the sneakers its basketball players will wear on the court this season.

The school has released images of two Air Jordan XXXI styles via Twitter in home and away colorways. The university’s iconic maize and blue appear prominently on each iteration of the shoe, which was unveiled on July 20 — the second Air Jordan signature shoe release of 2016.

The white iteration of the shoe features maize on the forefoot and fades to white on the heel. Blue makes an appearance on the Jumpman branding toward the back of the shoe in blue, as well as the midsole (along with white) and the collar. The style is completed with an icy translucent outsole. The other look boasts a split maize and blue upper, with maize occupying the rear of the shoe and blue the front. The shoe boasts a blue to maize gradient midsole (with white) and an icy translucent outsole.

Both shoes feature “Michigan” on the sole in the school’s signature bold font.
