Allen Iverson Recalls ‘Practice’ Rant In Video Celebrating 20th Anniversary Reebok Collaboration

Finish Line is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ReebokAllen Iverson partnership with a new sneaker release six years after the Philadelphia 76ers star left the NBA.

The Reebok Question Mid Practice kicks pay tribute to Iverson’s career on the court and in the conference room.

Dropping Friday on the label’s website and at retail stores, the basketball sneakers feature gray, black, red and brown colorways, as well as a 3, Iverson’s 76ers jersey number.

In a new Finish Line video released as part of its “20 Questions. 20 Answers” series, Iverson recalls his part in one of basketball’s biggest temper tantrums.

“Looking back now on it,” Iverson says in the video clip, “It’s embarrassing, but it’s funny, too.”

In 2002, Iverson’s 76ers — which had reached the NBA Finals the season prior — lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Afterward, Iverson faced questions about his commitment to regularly attending team practices. He responded with a long rant, using the term “practice” 14 times.

“All the questions — they were asking about practice,” he explained. “You name me one person who can accomplish all the things in my career without practicing. I wish I was that talented.”
