Brooks Unveils Warren Buffett-Inspired Shoe

Brooks has routinely put a creative spin on many of its celebrated performance running silhouettes that allow the iteration to stand out from others. Its latest reimagined effort features a playful image of its owner, Warren Buffett.

On the heel of the Brooks Berkshire Hathaway Transcend 3, which will first become available for purchase starting April 29 at the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting, is a caricature of a smiling Buffett in gold. To further drive the Berkshire Hathaway theme home, the brand printed the company’s name on the Guide Rail and near the shoe’s collar.

The shoe will first be available to shareholders to purchase at the meeting – before the brand’s annual Invest In Yourself 5K in Omaha, Neb. – and remaining pairs will be available via the Brooks website for $170.

The Transcend 3 is a shoe in the brand’s “Cushion Me” category, one of the four biomechanical silos in its Stride Signature concept, introduced in August. The shoe features the brand’s Super DNA cushioning, laser cut mesh for a better fit and moisture management, and Guide Rails to support the body’s preferred path of motion.
