Converse is combining fashion, art and function in its latest release.
The brand has collaborated for a second time with Brooklyn, N.Y.-based artist Futura on the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Futura “Skyfall” collection. The shoes feature Futura’s original “Skyfall” print in a reflective material. The weatherized upper on the high-top version is done half in “Skyfall” print and half in solid black, while the low-top has an all-over “Skyfall” print. The print is an optical illusion — in one view it looks like tree tops and in the other a falling sky.

Earlier this year Converse worked with Futura on its first collaboration on its Chuck II silhouette, which was unveiled last year. The shoes had one of Futura’s camouflage prints and also featured a weatherized upper.
