Converse Debuts Music Festival-Inspired Chuck II Knit Collection

Converse has found inspiration from spring’s concert season in its new collection.

The Chuck Taylor All Star II Knit sneakers, rolling out internationally throughout April, embody the music festival experience through its ultra-thin knit texture and striking colors.

“For spring, it was about continuing to provide on-foot comfort for the consumer on the go,” said Ryan Case, Converse product director. “Knit works for them and their lifestyle, with the way that it fits and holds color.”

Taking a nod from the kaleidoscopic light shows to be found at many forthcoming concerts, the Chuck IIs are available in Volt Green, black, yellow, Roadtrip Blue, red, white and Spray Paint Blue.

The kicks come in low-top and high-top silhouettes, featuring soft micro-suede lining and an exterior that pops with a dimensional look and feel through its lightweight interwoven knit material.

And the new collection offers Chuck II’s essential comfort features — with one small difference. “The forefoot of the shoe is unlined so you can feel the Knit on your foot,” said Case. “We wanted to get you closer to the material.”

Converse launched the range today in Asia Pacific, and it will continue April 18 in Europe and April 25 in North America. The shoes will be available for $80-$85 at Converse stores, Converse.com and select retailers.

On Thursday, Converse dropped its Chuck Taylor All Star Crochet collection. Converse’s One Star ’74 range, which debuted and sold out on March 25, is currently available on its website.
