Danny Willett Wins 2016 Masters Tournament In FootJoy Golf Shoes

Danny Willett expected to become a father for the first time on Sunday. Instead, he became the 2016 Masters Tournament winner.

Wearing white FootJoy DryJoys Casual golf shoes with bright green trim, the 28-year-old clinched the title after a bogey-free final round of 67 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., on wife Nicole’s birthday and newborn son Zachariah’s original due date until he arrived early on March 30.

The footwear retails for 149.99 on the label’s website, and included customized Hickies modular laces.

Willett, who ranked 12th in the world, called his victory a “surreal day.”

“You can’t describe the emotions,” the British star said. “It was my day — it was a surreal day with the ebb and flow. We hit the correct shots and holed the putts when we needed to.

“It’s my wife’s birthday; my son was due today. You talk about fate and everything else that goes with it, it’s crazy.”

Willett’s new son was already prepared for the win in a pair of FitJoy baby booties that he received from the label at the beginning for the tournament, which kicked off Monday.

Willett upended defending titleholder Jordan Spieth in a stunning upset after Spieth’s shaky performance. Spieth entered the final round with a one-shot lead following a disappointing game on Saturday. He had on Under Armour Drive One golf shoes.
