Deion Sanders Teams With Under Armour in Supporting High School Football

Deion Sanders, known for his versatility in football and baseball as well as his nonprofit organization TRUTH Youth Academic & Sports, is now supporting young athletes around the country via a partnership with Under Armour.

Sanders is involved with the Baltimore-based company’s “It Comes From Below” nationwide challenge, which began Sept. 8. It encourages high school football teams to submit videos showcasing their footwork skills. The team that displays the best footwork, dedication and drive will be rewarded with custom Under Amour cleats and gloves.

Teams can enter the challenge by submitting videos of their football drills to the NFHS Network, an online destination for watching high school sports and other events live on demand. The deadline for submission is Sept. 23.

As part of the initiative, Under Armour and Sanders will select four finalists. Public fan voting will start on Oct. 7 to determine the winning high school football team.

“The Under Armour ‘It Comes From Below’ challenge is a great opportunity to promote sports and positively influence high school student athletes across the U.S.,” said Sanders, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. “The challenge is a way for us to impress on student athletes how important footwork is to be successful in football.”
