Diadora Unveils Selections From Spring ’16 Collection

Italy-based athletic-sneaker brand Diadora made a comeback among sneakerheads in 2015 through in-line product and collabs with top boutique retailers. And It’s sure to turn heads again with its spring collection, slated to hit stores next week.

The line includes various iterations of two of the brand’s most celebrated silhouettes: the N9000 and the S8000. Both shoes are made in Italy.

Enrico Moretti Polegato, Diadora’s chairman and CEO, spoke with Footwear News back in August about the brand’s resurgence, attributing much of it to its projects with retailers.

“Collaborations are our way to work with the best stores in the world. They’re a launchpad to the market to [garner] more visibility,” he said.

Polegato added that Diadora’s newfound popularity is also driving its performance-running and tennis-shoe sales, and will introduce new performance runners for spring ’16, including the N-4100-2.

Diadora also collaborated with New York-based retailer Extra Butter on the “Spaghetti Western,” using the brand’s Titan II silhouette to pay homage to the Western films shot in Italy throughout the 1960s.
