DJ Khaled loves Air Jordans. Today, he debuted a stellar pair of Michael Jordan’s beloved styles reimagined by Trophy Room, set to hit stores next month.
The music mogul and pitchman for a bevy of products posted a pair of images wearing — and holding — the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 16 “French Blue” on Instagram today, announcing that the shoe will be available on Nov. 5. The posts did not divulge the retail price.
The Orlando, Fla., boutique put together by the iconic baller’s son, Marcus — designed to look like his father’s home trophy room — will be the exclusive home of the shoe.
A little more than a month before putting the birth of his son on Snapchat, Khaled stopped by Footwear News to discuss his love for Jordans — and show off his extremely limited Craig Sager-inspired Air Jordan 1.
“It was a gift — shout-out to the Jordan Brand team — they blessed me with a gift. They only made two: Craig Sager has one, and I have one. I’m sure with the response out there, they’ll probably want to make more. We all love Craig Sager; he’s a legend,” he said. “If you love basketball, you follow him and his amazing outfits he wears, and it’s great that Jordan made him a shoe, and I’m happy to have it. Have I had lunch or dinner with him? No. Have I been on the basketball court and seen him? Of course I have. I’ve met him, but I don’t know if he knows me.”
