Drake Reveals His First Pair Of Jordans

Drake is the latest personality to share his personal experiences with Jordan Brand. The video is part of the brand’s #WeAreJordan campaign, which has featured Spike Lee, LaMarcus Aldridge, Spike Lee, Russell Westbrook, Tinker Hatfield and DJ Khaled.

In the video, Drake says his first pair of Jordans were Jordan XV’s in white and Carolina blue.

“I’ll never forget it, because it was a gift from my father,” he said. “When me and all my guys are wearing Jordan, you know, we feel like a team. You just have that presence when you walk into a room. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing today, we just came to win.”

Drake goes on to explain how wearing Jordans to perform gives him a winning mentality and desire to win just like any athlete. The Air Jordan XV was first released in 2000, shortly after Michael Jordan retired.
