“Ghostbusters” hits the big screen on July 15. If you’re a true fan of the franchise, you’ll be wearing the limited-edition Fila sneakers inspired by the film that are releasing this month.
The three silhouettes featured in the collection —the FX-100, T-1 Mid, and the Original Fitness — were hand-picked by rap icon (and admitted “Ghostbusters” fan) Nas. ” ‘Ghostbusters’ was a staple childhood movie for me, one my mother took me to see, and I still love watching today with my son,” Nas said in a statement today.
The FX-100 will retail for $100, the T-1 Mid for $90, and the Original Fitness for $85. The shoes will be sold at Ron Herman in Los Angeles, Foot Locker in New York (its West 34th Street location), Colette in Paris (and via its website, colette.fr), hypebeast.com and fila.com.
The FX-100 in the collection boasts a cream premium suede upper, black midsole and outsole with white speckles, and a tumbled leather strap. The collection’s T-1 Mid features black premium suede on its upper with a leather sock liner, and a glow-in-the-dark midsole and outsole. And the Original Fitness boasts cream canvas and suede upper atop a black midsole and outsole.

All three shoes feature the movie franchise’s classic “Ghost” logo on the footbed and will come in custom packaging with “Ghostbusters” branding.
“There’s no bigger ‘Ghostbusters’ fan than Nas. He grew up with the franchise, and along with these iconic partners, they’ve done a great job interpreting the characters and movies into these amazing, fashion-forward products,” said Mark Caplan, SVP of global consumer products for Sony Pictures Entertainment. “The collaboration was not only a natural fit between these brands, but an opportunity to add a modern, high-end twist to Ghostbusters.’ “
Nas teased the Fila sneakers three weeks ago at Ron Herman in Los Angeles via his Instagram account while showing his “Ghostbusters” collection, which also features clothing and accessories from HSTRY, New Era, Monster, Italia Independent Eyewear and Tokyobike.
