Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors love to set and break records. The team achieved its latest feat Sunday night, becoming the first team to make 1,000 3-pointers in a regular season.
Curry was 9-for-13 from long range in last night’s home victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, scoring 39 points in 35 minutes of play. The reigning regular season MVP wore two different Under Armour sneakers Sunday, including a tonal blue, white and gold Curry Two player’s edition in the second half. For the first half, Curry wore a black, blue and gold shoe with exaggerated UA branding on the heel that, according to multiple reports, is rumored to be the Curry 2.5.

But Curry wasn’t the only Warriors starter to make shots from behind the arc in the 136-111 win. Fellow “Splash Brother” Klay Thompson was 2-for-6 from 3-point range, finishing with 21 points in his signature shoe, the Anta KT. Harrison Barnes also had a pair of threes in the game, ending the night with 10 points while wearing the Adidas Crazyquick 3.
The Golden State bench also got involved in the long-range shooting Sunday night, led by forward Brandon Rush, who was perfect from long range, hitting all three of his 3-point attempts. Center Marreese Speights and guard Leandro Barbosa also hit threes coming off the bench.
Curry and the Warriors will continue its pursuit to set a new mark for the best regular season in NBA history, set by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during the 1995-96 season, when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., on Tuesday.
