On a night owned by Kobe Bryant, the Golden State Warriors quietly broke one of the NBA’s greatest records, setting a new mark for wins in a season.
Stephen Curry and the Warriors topped the Memphis Grizzlies, 125-104, on Wednesday at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., earning win 73 on the season. The 73-9 finish is now the best regular season record in NBA history, topping the 72-10 mark set by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the 1995-96 campaign.
