Twitter Is Mocking James Harden’s Rumored Adidas Signature Sneaker

James Harden‘s Adidas signature sneakers have not been officially revealed, but that isn’t stopping social media users from having a field day with leaked images of the anticipated model.

In a trend reminiscent of what happened in late spring with Stephen Curry’s Under Armour Curry Two Low “Chef” sneakers, Twitter users have been ridiculing the rumored style of the new Adidas James Harden shoes with posts poking fun at the design and branding the model with new nicknames such as the “Cable Repairman 1s” and “Line Cook 3s.”

While the perceived backlash may seem like a negative thing on the surface, the extra attention over the Curry Twos actually helped Under Armour’s business over the summer, and the sneakers ended up selling out from many retailers. From the looks of things, this latest viral trend could have a similar effect on Adidas.

Earlier this month, Adidas officially unveiled a new James Harden logo, but the brand has been quiet regarding the sneakers since. Dates attached to the promotion suggest that the sneaker will be released in November.
