Legendary designer Jeff Staple has dressed another brand’s shoes with his iconic pigeon branding. And to get all of the shoes in the collection, a bit of traditional hunting is required.
Puma is the latest label to lend its classic silhouettes to have Staple reimagine, giving the designer the reins to a pair of its styles: the Suede and the Blaze of Glory.
The Suede was reimagined in three colorways using a gray, black and white color palette, all featuring a pink heel with stamped pigeon branding and a Puma x Staple co-branded label on the tongue. The Blaze of Glory uses all of the aforementioned colors executed in suede and mesh, completed with a speckled Trinomic midsole and gray laces with the same pattern.

But there’s only once chance to get all the shoes in the collection at one time, in one place.
Staplepigeon.com and the New York City store on the Lower East Side that Staple founded, Reed Space, will have all of the shoes starting Sept. 13. After that, the colorways of the Suede will be divided by continent.
The all-white Suede will be available in North and Latin America, the black Suede will be available the Asia Pacific, and the gray will be available in Europe and the Middle East. The Blaze of Glory is the only shoe that will be available worldwide.
The collection’s global launch will take place on Sept. 17 at Puma stores and at select retailers.
“I miss the days when sneaker culture was all about the hunt. You might need to ask a favor from a relative in London, or hit up a homie in Tokyo in order to get grails you really needed. Times have changed in the culture and the way people get their kicks,” Staple said in a statement.
