The chances a healthy Los Angeles Clippers squad had to conquer the Western Conference and make it to the NBA Finals were slim from the start. Now with star guard Chris Paul suffering a broken bone in his right hand and forward Blake Griffin injuring his left quad in last night’s game, the team may not make it out of the opening playoff round.
Paul, a Jordan Brand-sponsored athlete, left in the third quarter of Monday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore., with a broken right hand. The guard – wearing a black, blue and red pair of his Jordan CP3.IX AE signature shoe – scored 16 points and dished out four assists in 25 minutes of play before exiting the game.
According to multiple reports, the broken bone is severe enough to keep him from suiting up again in the 2016 NBA playoffs.

Griffin, who missed ample time in the regular season due to various injuries and a suspension stemming from an altercation with a team equipment staff member, left the game in the fourth quarter. According to multiple reports, his status to appear in Game 5 is bleak. The star forward — wearing the Jordan Super.Fly 4 PO — scored 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting before leaving the game.
Game 5 will take place Wednesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
