Kanye West Debuts New Song On Radio, Talks Working With Adidas

This week, the Yeezy news just keeps coming.

Following Adidas Originals’ announcement on Thursday that the next Yeezy Boost sneaker will drop June 11, Kanye West appeared on Los Angeles radio station Real 92.3 on Friday to debut a new song on the “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” morning show.

West talked about his recent album “The Life of Pablo” as well as his new single from his next album, “Cruel Winter.”

West also mentioned that when he worked with Adidas on the first Yeezy Boost 350 in 2015, he knew it would be a success.

“Look at the Yeezy 350s. That was a hit. People just felt it. I knew when that 350 dropped, it was like the second single,” he said, referring to his jump from working with Nike to Adidas.

West also said that part of the reason he decided to work with Adidas had to do with someone else in his family.

“When I left Nike for Adidas, I did that for my daughter,” he said. “There was an opportunity to grow. Love, respect and admiration at Adidas.”

West also talked fashion on Real 92.3 and said that wife Kim Kardashian West actually tells him what to wear, despite widespread reports that West dictates her wardrobe. The new single is already generating major buzz and features not only West but also rappers Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane and Quavo.

Adidas Originals hasn’t officially confirmed with Yeezy Boost style will drop on June 11, but many are reporting that it will be the gray Yeezy Boost 750s that Kardashian West recently debuted on social media.
