Michael Jordan’s Son Responds To Kanye West’s Dig At Air Jordan

Kanye West got the world talking on New Year’s Eve, thanks to the release of his newest single, “Facts.” In the song, West takes aim at Nike.

In the song’s hook, West claims that his Yeezy sneakers have surpassed Air Jordans in popularity: “Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman.”

Now, Michael Jordan’s son Marcus has taken to Twitter to respond. “’Yeezy just jumped over @Jumpman23??’ LOL I needed a good laugh to start my #2016,” Jordan wrote.

This is not the only Nike mention in the song. West continues to reference the athletic brand he was formerly associated with, stating, “Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves/Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away.”

Just as the song was releasing, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, shared a photo of Taylor Swift wearing Yeezy Boost 350s, as well as one of West giving a pair of Yeezys to President Obama. Kardashian West captioned both photos “FACTS.”
