Rapper Kendrick Lamar has reimagined Reebok Classics with a social message.
He showcases the Classic Leather shoes in new images released on Thursday, highlighting the symbolism behind the design.

Lamar collaborated with the brand’s partner Ian Parley on the split capsule shoe, which features a longitudinal seam down the middle — a nod to the musician’s split between fame and the social responsibility that comes with it, Reebok said in a statement.
The Compton, Calif.-born Grammy winner’s kicks include blue and red accents that express division between gangs and his call for neutrality.
Lamar recently took part in a vintage-inspired campaign for the brand’s Perfect Split Leather Pack, available online.
