Kevin Hart & Nike Take New Yorkers Through High-Intensity Workout

When comedian Kevin Hart isn’t making millions of people around the world laugh, he’s using his star power to influence them to stay in shape. To kick off 2016, Hart – along with athletic giant Nike – worked out with hundreds of New Yorkers for the “Move with Hart” training event.

While others were taking the weekend to recover from celebrations, Hart and Nike – along with Nike-sponsored athletes WNBA baller Elena Delle Donne and paralympian Blake Leeper – took Saturday morning to break a sweat. The high-intensity workout, according to Nike, was designed by the comedian and the brand’s trainers and aimed at helping New Yorkers to get started on their personal fitness journeys and resolutions.

Hart and Nike have frequently collaborated on events with keeping his fans fit, most notably with his #runwithhart initiative, encouraging locals in the city he is in to join him on a 5K run. Throughout 2015, according to Nike, Hart ran with more than 15,000 runners, and in 2016, he will embark on a new movement to help people reach their full fitness potential.

“My career takes a toll on my body. I travel and work somewhere north of 12 to 14 hours a day: I’m onstage for an hour and 20 minutes, doing two shows a night, and I always give 110 percent because my fans expect and demand it,” Hart said in a statement back in October. “I realized I couldn’t expect results from my body if I wasn’t taking care of it. And the best way to build endurance and stamina is running.”
