Kohl’s And Vanessa Hudgens Give Free Nike Sneakers To Students

Vanessa Hudgens and Kohl’s teamed up to help students start off the school year with their best foot forward.

The actress on Wednesday presented nearly 2,000 students from The Accelerated School in South Central Los Angeles with free pairs of Nike sneakers from the retail chain.

The initiative is a partnership between Adopt a Classroom and Kohl’s CARES to provide deserving students a new look during their first week of school.

Kohl’s chief merchandising and customer officer Michelle Gass told Footwear News that the new sneakers will help give students a boost of confidence.

“The first day of school is an exciting time for students and an important time for families, as they get ready to tackle the new school year,” Gass said. “We believe every student should feel good about themselves and have what they need at school to succeed.”

For the occasion, Hudgens rocked a pair of Nike’s Tanjun black athletic trainers, featuring a sleek no-sew upper, padded footbed and flexible design. The shoes are available for $65 on the retail chain’s website.

The footwear incorporates a mesh upper that supports strides, a co-molded midsole that delivers a smooth impact and flywire cables that provide a better fit.

The shoes retail for $80 online.
