Kyrie Irving Leads Cavaliers To Game 2 Win In Nike Kyrie 2 Ky-Rispy Kremes

For the second straight game, Nike-sponsored guard Kyrie Irving led the Cavaliers in scoring in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena against the Toronto Raptors. But his choice of footwear Thursday in the Cavs victory eclipsed his performance on the court.

Irving wore a limited-edition iteration of his Nike Kyrie 2 signature shoe, the Ky-Rispy Kreme iD, which Nike said pays homage to the superstar baller’s love for doughnuts and his rookie-year tradition of bringing doughnuts to the locker room for his teammates. The colorway is inspired by Krispy Kreme’s logo and box, featuring green and red accents throughout the shoe. For Cleveland, Baltimore and New York City residents, the shoes could be picked up in a special-edition box reminiscent of Krispy Kreme’s via the Ky-rispy Kreme truck. Info on the truck’s stops can be found on Nike Basketball’s Snapchat account, @nikebasketball.

The guard scored 26 points on 12-of-22 shooting, also grabbing four rebounds and dishing out three assists.

But Irving wasn’t the only scoring machine on the floor for Cleveland. LeBron James dropped 23 points on Toronto in a red and black pair of the Nike LeBron 13 Elite. The two-time NBA champion notched a triple-double in the 108-89 win, also tallying 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals is set for Saturday at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The Cavaliers lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.
