Michael Jordan‘s fans can now train like him, too.
Jordan Brand has unveiled Jordan Breakfast Club Training, a program to help kids train for their upcoming season. Once subscribed to the digital program, they can begin doing workouts contributed by Jordan athletes, including Dez Bryant, Erik Kynard and Jalen Ramsey.
The program is inspired by Michael Jordan’s notorious Breakfast Club training sessions, which often began by 7 a.m. Around 1989, Jordan said the NBA began allowing players to get more physical. Jordan focused on strength training and weights and even inspired his teammates to begin doing the same.
“The league was allowing defenders to be a lot more physical with the ball handler, and I knew that I had to find a way to get stronger and be able to deal with the beating,” he said. “Breakfast Club was a mindset more than a workout. We wanted to be more prepared than anyone else.”
Jordan Master Trainer Alex Molden said the brand had been hearing from kids around the world who felt they needed more training.

“Once they get into training camp or practices, they are getting good instruction,” said Molden. Where they could use some extra help is in preparation for the season and making sure that when they arrive on day one, they are ready to perform.”
Interested athletes can pre-register now and start receiving workouts on Sept. 6.
In conjunction with Jordan Breakfast Club Training, the brand has released the Air Jordan Trainer 1, a low-profile performance basketball shoe designed for quick, explosive movement. The shoe is offered in mid and low versions.
