NBA All Star Lineup Announced

In a special broadcast tonight on TNT, the NBA announced the players who will compete next month in Toronto as part of the always-exciting All Star Weekend.

After battling back and forth in voting, Kobe Bryant ended up surpassing 2015 favorite Stephen Curry to be the top vote getter for the fourth time in his career — he previously claimed the title in 2003, 2011 and 2013. Most likely fans voted with their hearts as an homage to Bryant’s storied 20-year career, as the athlete announced in November that he’s retiring from the game.

Meanwhile, Kyle Lowry once again will make an appearance in the All Star game thanks to a late surge of support. After receiving an endorsement from hip-hop artist Drake for the second year in a row, the Raptors guard was able to pass Kyrie Irving to claim a starting spot.
